Christian Pastors under attack in Chicago

Cornerstone Baptist Church
Cornerstone Baptist Church

I saw this story from Todd Starnes on his web site first (Advisory: His web site is absolutely clogged with ads). Apparently Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is sending around the Chicago cops to harass the people who chose to attend services at Cornerstone Baptist Church on May 17. Get this, they couldn’t enter the church because, “…our doors were locked as a normal safety precaution we take each service to protect our members from the escalating gun violence in Chicago,” the pastor said.  What an absurd situation the rest of us out here in middle America, Jesus Land, suburbia don’t have a clue about. This is a Christian church in an America “first world” city, with services behind locked doors as a security protocol to protect the congregation from the gun violence plaguing this Democrat run city – with strident “gun control” – now having to bravely face down the psycho city administration in their Jihad to enforce lockdown compliance (liquor stores and pot shops get a pass of course).

Yet, President Trump and Attorney General Bob Barr, in this same time frame, have stated, “Governors need to do the right thing and allow these very important essential places of faith to open right now — for this weekend,” with the implied threat that the Federal government would override, on Constitutional grounds, the decisions to keep churches locked down during this absurd q “quarantine.” And yes, to administration’s attackers who question if the Federal government can do this, yes they can.

So I ponder, will the Trump administration and AG Barr put up, or shut up? Time to walk the walk, not talk.  Barr and the administration needs to shut Mayor Lightfoot down.  California governor Gavin Newsom was smart enough to toe the line the very next day from the administration’s announcement.

Uncle Sam – A COVID19 Victim of the Matriarchy?

1bfy8zarnf9yzlugwex1yfqI’ve read a lot trying to understand the ideas and movements behind the sheer insanity (see Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel – a “Karen” on steroids) that has engulfed the United States over the COVID-19 scenario.  This article really resonated with me in light of the continuing self-inflicted economic and social suicide being imposed on the hapless American people, although I might not agree with some of the writer’s worldview. The ideas of a “risk averse” society is something totally foreign to those of us who grew up through the 60’s and 70’s in American suburbia.  The continuing social decline expressed in the unprecedented shutdown of the greatest economy in the world – and the now ensuing destructive blowback – has been truly bewildering. Where are the men?

Single Mom also does not want her own expertise questioned by her child nor society at large even though a single Mom is doing something which all human history has tried to avoid – raising a child in relative isolation. Thus, questioning any authority at all is often subconsciously disagreeable and threatening in the unstable Single Mother Queendom. We saw how the treatment of Michigander protesters was so hysterical, truly false (the vast majority of protesters stayed in their car), and how it rejected any honest debate. It is not an exaggeration but a reality that single Moms in America must be especially comfortable with investing dictatorial powers in one person – that’s how they must raise their kids in a Western, anti-extended family culture.

While nobody knew this for certain at the outset of the novel coronavirus, it now seems abundantly clear that the need for mass quarantine was overblown and is no longer necessary. Yet there is massive resistance from US matriarchs and their supporters to restart normal human society, despite the psychological, cultural, medical and economic harm continued lockdowns would induce. Sweden and others have shown that a modicum of social responsibility should logically reduce the fear and panic-based notions which initially drove the Great Lockdowns.

A short-sighted insistence on remaining at home indefinitely regardless of the negative ramifications of such overprotection; a demand for total obedience to authorities which never merited nor could even handle such powers (because they are not socialist-inspired) the decidedly anti-intellectual acceptance of the decisions of mediocre technocrats even after they have been proven wrong – we see all three of the problems I listed with matriarchies: stagnation-creating risk aversion, emotional intimidation, hysterical embracing of new and untested ideas.

Control the Lexicon…

Lexicon
A lexicon, word-hoard, wordbook, or word-stock is the vocabulary of a person, language, or branch of knowledge (such as nautical or medical). In linguistics, a lexicon is a language’s inventory of lexemes.

If you control the lexicon; the language, you control the debate and the culture.  Every term in this article should be being actively rejected in use or opposed by those who, indeed, recognize brainwashing.

There is no “new normal” except the current insanity foisted on us by a bunch of discredited “experts,” self-serving politicians interested in only covering their own butts, and a bunch of mindless lemmings cowering in fear furtively demanding an arbitrary “safety” that is never coming.

If you’ve been watching any type of media coverage or reading articles, you’ve probably seen or heard a plethora of words and phrases which are currently being perverted due to the coronavirus pandemic. I don’t know about you, but if I never heard “safe” or “new normal” again, I’d be a much happier person.

If you feel like people are being brainwashed through repetition, that’s because they are. Quite simply, these buzzwords and several others we’ll discuss are being used to indoctrinate the public.  As Joseph Goebbels, the Reich Minister of Propaganda of Nazi Germany, wrote:

Guess what? Nobody gets out alive.

Every reform, however necessary, will by weak minds be carried to an excess, that itself will need reforming.

Samuel Taylor Coleridge

The author over at Cold Fury makes some interesting rhetorical observations of an article here.  The last few remaining sane people in America have been able to start pushing back after the initial media generated fire storm (fodder provided by many since completely discredited “medical experts”) terrifying the nation’s populace over the Wuhan/Covid-19 virus.

risks-ahead
Oh my! Risks ahead!

I have been completely stunned and amazed at the reaction to the Covid-19 outbreak. It has been revealing.  Having lived through every “world ending pandemic” of the last forty years, that the government would even considering taking the overreaching, longterm destructive steps they have in this scenario is bad enough.

But what has been worse is response by society as a whole. I acknowledge as  a Christian I am obligated to:

“…Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.King James Version (KJV).

Nonetheless, it is another Biblical standard and mandate I struggle with, especially if the panicked, weak-minded response of my fellow citizens only enforces and undergirds the totalitarian bent of politicians and “experts” whose warped, excessive actions in this whole farce continues to cause such far reaching damage to society – enslaving everybody else.  You see them slobbering in support of the latest edict posted on some bureaucrat’s social media account as they hand down another repressive, useless edict during this “quarantine.”

1-pandemic
Hiding behind a mask.

Anyone who contests publicly becomes a target of the lemming’s snarky comments and misguided justifications; weak-minded children defending their surrogate parent – intrusive, paternal government.

“Bubble-Wrapped Americans: How the U.S. Became Obsessed with Physical and Emotional Safety” at the Burning Platform blog captures much of the history leading up to this sick state of people’s minds in our culture, especially the younger generations. I have been an observer of much of what he lays out.

All I can say to the weak, the feeble minded furtively looking for security at the hands of those who cannot provide it (although they will boastfully lie and posture – then abandon you when the inevitability of life catches up with you), death is inescapable.  You can hide in your home until “proper authorities” say it’s “safe,” but that’s never going to be reality. The rest of us have to push on with life.

Do you know Him?  Escape the fear mongers…

“Tithing” your stimulus check? Pump the brakes there

Sure enough, I saw it pop up first on Twitter, and the vultures are circling. The idea that professing Christians are obligated to “tithe” their stimulus checks to the ministry – many commentators suggesting from ten percent to even one hundred percent. A cursory reading c_scalefl_progressiveq_80w_800sees the faithful parroting the mangled theology of the American prosperity gospel that has infected the culture for decades, evidence of how many have bought into this lie.

The 2020 stimulus checks were issued by the US government for one purpose – that laid off and furloughed workers might possibly weather for a while the economic downturn due to the quarantine the same government decreed in a furtive attempt to manage the Covid-19 pandemic. As during the 2008 banking/real estate market crash that financially decimated so many lives, a sovereign God permitted this as a corrective measure on a Church polluted by the prosperity and materialism of a our country and era.  Likewise, the Covid-19 pandemic – plagues being a Biblical sign of God’s judgment – is a corrective measure as well.  This pandemic did not happen outside of the Lord’s sovereign will, but has a purpose.  Very, very few are talking about that.

So, should Christian people “tithe” money from their stimulus check?  The Bible teaches first that men should “provide for their families.” I guarantee

Louisiana pastor asks followers to send their stimulus checks to churches instead of buying food.

you, if you have qualified for a stimulus payment, you are square in the demographic that is most vulnerable in our fractured, crippled economy.  That money is for groceries and rent and providing for your family. It is for, perhaps, car repairs, so you are prepared to go back to work, or paying off your utilities.

It is NOT to continue to underwrite the thoroughly spiritually and morally bankrupt American Evangelical Industrial Complex; the “mega church” model that has grown like a cancer across the country.  Some of these “celebrity” preachers are worth millions, having lived like parasites off the False idolnaive generosity of the true Church for generations, or unfortunately the unrepented of greed of the same.  It is lost on the undiscerning that the two major catastrophes of recent years to so negatively impact American culture and visible Christianity – the 2008 market crash and the Covid-19 pandemic – have both directly targeted the biggest idol in the modern day American Church – the almighty dollar.

The simple guidelines for New Testament giving are clear. It is what Christianity has become in America that has perverted the simplicity of it.

Statistics show that an insane number of people are in debt, most living paycheck to paycheck, and few with even a small savings to fall back on in the event of an emergency. Acknowledging many reasons for the cost of living in some states and areas or circumstances beyond an individual’s control, a lot of this is still because of simple gross mismanagement of personal finances.  Giving ones hard earned money to these “Christian” shysters and extortionists who mainly appeal to people’s greed is first of all, unbiblical, it’s also irresponsible.  The Lord does not need your money to “further the ministry.”  These wolves in sheep’s clothing need it to underwrite their exorbitant, posh lifestyles and bloated corporate budgets, and that at the expense of the naive, undiscerning, and ill-informed.

Capt. Brett Crozier recommended to be reinstated

USS Roosevelt Capt. Brett Crozier
USS Roosevelt Capt. Brett Crozier

Well, a few others and I called this one well. Now the upper eschelons of the Navy, after the posturing of the Pentagon brass and their civilian cheerleaders egging them on, in the wake of the removal of USS Roosevelt Capt. Brett Crozier, have come to the conclusion he should be reinstated to his former command. It was clear from the very start the morally flaccid in the halls of the Pentagon (modeled well by then acting secretary of the Navy Thomas Modly – what a weasel), were all covering their own butts and personal mismanagement and cared nothing for the truth – or the health and welfare of the USS Roosevelt crew.

Capt. Crozier, in a very difficult situation after having to deal with these useless career bureacrats, did what he had to do to save his crew in the face of the Covid-19 outbreak on the ship. He may never receive any recognition professionally for his act of valor, but the respect and admiration of many people like me, and active duty NAVY staff throughout the fleet, is no doubt worth more in the long run.

HUZZAH, Capt. Crozier! HUZZAH!

Get that ship squared away and back out on the water!

Recruiting for the ‘Judenrat’

RecruitingSo, the latest totalitarian nuisance to inflict itself on the hapless population struggling to deal with the COVID-19 state of affairs comes out of Riverside County, California. This, on top of the quarantine, politicians and “experts” with their endless outrageous decisions and predictions, medical institutions miss-classifying any and all deaths as virus related, and a malevolent mass media abandoning any objectivity while continually sensationalizing these skewed numbers to generate internet traffic, now there is the option for nosey busybodies and the vindictive to rat out anyone they feel is violating the arbitrary mandates of the state health authorities.

Thus far, thankfully, the response to this from the majority sane trying to maintain a sense of proportionality in the midst of this cultural lunacy is one of complete rejection. Nevertheless, there will be the few who sign on to the public health officer for Riverside County recruiting for the new ‘Judenrat‘ and feel they are doing some warped civic duty.  The shredding of American cultural norms continues apace.

I would encourage my fellow Americans, and especially Riverside County residents, to continue to resist this.

Crozier’s Valor, and the wrong way Navy (Updated)

USS Roosevelt Capt. Brett Crozier
USS Roosevelt Capt. Brett Crozier

Steve Berman at The Resurgent gives some much needed insight into the sacking of Captain Brett Crozier of the USS Roosevelt after a letter about the coronavirus outbreak onboard was “leaked” (the carrier is currently berthed in Guam). Initial reports from the Navy brass was “…Crozier was dismissed due to loss of confidence and for not using his chain of command to make Navy leaders aware of his concerns about the coronavirus outbreak on the ship, acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly announced at the Pentagon.”

Immediate blowback throughout the general Navy population and Veterans nationally and globally was pretty striking. Social media postings are making the rounds of a rousing send off of Capt. Crozier by the crew as he left the ship for the last time. A petition to reinstate him has already been launched.

From what I can garner thus far, Crozier did in fact make the effort to alert the upper echelons of the Navy of the quickly evolving scenario on board the tightly packed ship, but was quickly hobbled by the red tape the bureaucracy is notorious for, and he intuitively sensed the immediate danger to his sailors. So he, figuratively, “jumped on the grenade” to save his crew.

For those familiar with American pop culture, this probable scenario was clearly portrayed in the movie “Behind Enemy Lines” starring Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman. In the movie, Gene Hackman, as the captain of an America carrier, sacrifices his career in defiance of NATO directives to initiate a rescue mission to save his downed pilot, played by Owen Wilson. Funny how reality mirrors fiction, or vice versa.

If it does, indeed, come out that this was how the scenario went down, I think Navy Secretary Thomas Modly should be immediately sacked, for many of the valid reasons Berman states in his article. The sort of posturing here by Secretary Modly and the Navy higher ups, to basically “save face,” is caustic and undermines the confidence in their questionable leadership and judgment by our brave, forward deployed sailors in these perilous times.

UPDATE: Mark Alexander Milley, a United States Army general and the 20th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is making the rounds on Twitter with the “official narrative” of the Pentagon for the sacking of USS Roosevelt Capt. Cozier. Predictably, those with the analytical thinking skills of children (and a few with clear “daddy” issues in their slobbering endorsement of Miller) fall in line.

Riddle me this, then. Probably more people have walked in space then have skippered a US nuclear aircraft carrier. It should be intuitive to even the most dull that for these men to make it to “the chair” have to be some of the most trustworthy, tested, and dependable individuals (mind, body, and spirit) to exist in the nation. Yet, we are to believe that Capt. Crozier succumbed to the laundry list of command failures propagated by the Pentagon brass in the wake of the blowback generated by their decision concerning Crozier?

Oh, please. What a crock. The whole thing stinks to high heaven, and Capt. Crozier is getting thrown under the bus to cover a lot of butts.

Laid off or furloughed? A helpful link.

unemployed-personLike many people in the midst of this Covid-19 epidemic, I’m looking at the very real prospect in the future of being unemployed.  As an older staff member, working with the same company and in the same industry for 40 years this month, there’s certainly a struggle with normalcy bias.  Plus the fact that a thriving business that was looking at another record year pretty much had a bomb dropped on it because the unique structure of our distributorship to the schools and restaurant industry.  Yes, all shut down by the government in this quarantine. And absolutely unnecessary.  That is some frustration to deal with.

In a conversation with a family member he remarked on my reputation in the community, business experience, and work ethic.  So I’m not too concerned of where I’ll end up in the future.

So, in the wake of this, and updating my Indeed and LinkedIn accounts, this article by Andrew Seaman at LinkedIn was helpful. On top of applying for unemployment, the processes of looking for another job are new to me – and a lot of other people. Fortunately I have learned in just recent years I know a lot more people than I realized.  So knowing that large network is there helps.  As of this writing, the US administration has decided to continue with current “social distancing” directives that have crippled our business within a few short weeks. The next thirty days are going to be challenging…
