Revolution 2020 – An excellent cultural/political study

protestThis far ranging, well thought out article has to be one of the best I have read in recent years and as we lead up to the 2019 election. A pretty accurate summary of the last four years – and further back – and looking toward the future. In here, you will see partly why I abandoned the Republican Party in 2016. Trump, the 2016 elections, Covid19. Things needed to be changed, and now they are, like it or not.

Small excerpt:

Thus, willy-nilly, the Act (note: Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964) established what U.S. law quickly recognized as “protected categories” of persons. This negates the American republic’s bedrock: “all men are created equal…”

Here There Be Dragons – A Quote

A quote I have had on my web site since the Clinton years. Appropriate again  for our times.  From an old member at FreeRepublic.com:

“On the path towards the Rule of Men and away from the tranquility of the Rule of Law, the historical trap has been for good citizens to call upon stricter and stricter government, followed by stronger and stronger government, until government itself becomes so overbearing that it becomes more of the enemy than the anarchy from the Rule of Men.

As the olde maps used to cite: ‘Here there be dragons.'” ~ Southack

Christian Pastors under attack in Chicago

Cornerstone Baptist Church
Cornerstone Baptist Church

I saw this story from Todd Starnes on his web site first (Advisory: His web site is absolutely clogged with ads). Apparently Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is sending around the Chicago cops to harass the people who chose to attend services at Cornerstone Baptist Church on May 17. Get this, they couldn’t enter the church because, “…our doors were locked as a normal safety precaution we take each service to protect our members from the escalating gun violence in Chicago,” the pastor said.  What an absurd situation the rest of us out here in middle America, Jesus Land, suburbia don’t have a clue about. This is a Christian church in an America “first world” city, with services behind locked doors as a security protocol to protect the congregation from the gun violence plaguing this Democrat run city – with strident “gun control” – now having to bravely face down the psycho city administration in their Jihad to enforce lockdown compliance (liquor stores and pot shops get a pass of course).

Yet, President Trump and Attorney General Bob Barr, in this same time frame, have stated, “Governors need to do the right thing and allow these very important essential places of faith to open right now — for this weekend,” with the implied threat that the Federal government would override, on Constitutional grounds, the decisions to keep churches locked down during this absurd q “quarantine.” And yes, to administration’s attackers who question if the Federal government can do this, yes they can.

So I ponder, will the Trump administration and AG Barr put up, or shut up? Time to walk the walk, not talk.  Barr and the administration needs to shut Mayor Lightfoot down.  California governor Gavin Newsom was smart enough to toe the line the very next day from the administration’s announcement.

“Tithing” your stimulus check? Pump the brakes there

Sure enough, I saw it pop up first on Twitter, and the vultures are circling. The idea that professing Christians are obligated to “tithe” their stimulus checks to the ministry – many commentators suggesting from ten percent to even one hundred percent. A cursory reading c_scalefl_progressiveq_80w_800sees the faithful parroting the mangled theology of the American prosperity gospel that has infected the culture for decades, evidence of how many have bought into this lie.

The 2020 stimulus checks were issued by the US government for one purpose – that laid off and furloughed workers might possibly weather for a while the economic downturn due to the quarantine the same government decreed in a furtive attempt to manage the Covid-19 pandemic. As during the 2008 banking/real estate market crash that financially decimated so many lives, a sovereign God permitted this as a corrective measure on a Church polluted by the prosperity and materialism of a our country and era.  Likewise, the Covid-19 pandemic – plagues being a Biblical sign of God’s judgment – is a corrective measure as well.  This pandemic did not happen outside of the Lord’s sovereign will, but has a purpose.  Very, very few are talking about that.

So, should Christian people “tithe” money from their stimulus check?  The Bible teaches first that men should “provide for their families.” I guarantee

you, if you have qualified for a stimulus payment, you are square in the demographic that is most vulnerable in our fractured, crippled economy.  That money is for groceries and rent and providing for your family. It is for, perhaps, car repairs, so you are prepared to go back to work, or paying off your utilities.

It is NOT to continue to underwrite the thoroughly spiritually and morally bankrupt American Evangelical Industrial Complex; the “mega church” model that has grown like a cancer across the country.  Some of these “celebrity” preachers are worth millions, having lived like parasites off the False idolnaive generosity of the true Church for generations, or unfortunately the unrepented of greed of the same.  It is lost on the undiscerning that the two major catastrophes of recent years to so negatively impact American culture and visible Christianity – the 2008 market crash and the Covid-19 pandemic – have both directly targeted the biggest idol in the modern day American Church – the almighty dollar.

The simple guidelines for New Testament giving are clear. It is what Christianity has become in America that has perverted the simplicity of it.

Statistics show that an insane number of people are in debt, most living paycheck to paycheck, and few with even a small savings to fall back on in the event of an emergency. Acknowledging many reasons for the cost of living in some states and areas or circumstances beyond an individual’s control, a lot of this is still because of simple gross mismanagement of personal finances.  Giving ones hard earned money to these “Christian” shysters and extortionists who mainly appeal to people’s greed is first of all, unbiblical, it’s also irresponsible.  The Lord does not need your money to “further the ministry.”  These wolves in sheep’s clothing need it to underwrite their exorbitant, posh lifestyles and bloated corporate budgets, and that at the expense of the naive, undiscerning, and ill-informed.

Fear Sells – evidentiary objectivity, not so much

virus_panicIn the midst of the media and government induced panic over the corona virus, objective, impartial voices are being drowned out by fear hustlers and alarmists, government officials posturing to cover their own butts, and “woke” types taking to social media “shaming” those who refuse to stand by and do nothing as the economic collapse generated by this rolls in on them.

I’ve identified most who are cheerleaders in the national “quarantine camp” who will be first to attack any objective, independent thinker who questions the narrative constantly being beaten into the populace.  You can spot them pretty quick.

  1. The politicians and “experts.” As recollections of the Obama administration and the handling of the H1N1 Swine Flu are dug up from the digital archives, the current crop seem intent on completely overreacting in the other direction.  California alone, one of the largest economies in the world, has been effectively crippled.  The 3.3 million (as of this writing) unemployment claims – which seems to generate a puerile shock by media talking heads – is a small part of the government’s taking a sledgehammer in a china shop to kill a hornet.
  2. Everybody and anybody who is on the payroll of any federal, state, or local municipality who has a guaranteed, tax payer funded, income and is sitting at home not worried at all about paying the rent or mortgage.
  3. Anyone on the payroll of a massive corporation whose work responsibilities make working remotely at home a small issue.
  4. Those who still live with their mom. It’s easy to virtue signal and self righteously “shame” people who have to work for a living ignoring a state mandated “shelter in place” just to keep a roof over the heads of their families and keep them fed.

Dying Alone

Dying alone...
Dying alone…

I came across this article in my news feed and it resonated with me. These medical, state, and federal institutions are cracking down on visitors in a bid to protect their populations. These stories of families being impacted like this are especially poignant, looking at death and eternity with uncertainty and fear.

I thought if I was in the same situation, I cannot say I would be too distraught. My family might be, a bit more. But I know the Lord. My immediate family does as well. I know what the future holds after this life. I know right where I’m heading.

“For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” II Timothy 1:12

Certainty in your eternal future is an indomitable comfort as you face your mortality and helps to resist the lurid, suffocating fear mongering of the media and the hysterics of the weak minded.

“…I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5. Therefore, a believer will never really “die alone.”

Do you know Him?

Corona Makes International News

Corona city-logo

Oh brother. Our city made international news. What a absurd example of the media – international this time – generating an overblown, sensationalistic article.  The “panic” they present is nothing of the sort.  That’s coming from someone who lives here.  Firearms and ammo purchasing is a continued fact of life in the U.S. during the relentless string of media hyped disasters, and certainly a good reason why things here have not deteriorated more socially.  Actually, sensationalizing this phenomenon probably is a good thing, as the criminal element is deterred by the realization they don’t know who is going to be armed if they try and pull something.  With Governor Gavin Newsom turning convicted felons loose on the streets and little to mitigate the flood of transients and mentally ill, on our streets, sane people realize we are pretty much on our own.

Remember the H1N1 Pandemic? I Don’t Either

Another good commentary on the differences in response to the Swine Flu and today’s Corona virus. The media driven panic and hysteria is absurd and completely unjustified.

One might think the H1N1 virus pandemic was relatively mild since life proceeded as usual for most Americans, rather than the zombie apocalypse we are now living through. H1N1 was also referred to as the swine flu without objections from animal rights groups. In 2009, a name was just a name, labeling a virus based on its origin.

A World Without America

Pax Americana
Pax Americana

In my recent Internet travels through the world of global finance, I fell across this article by . It was originally written in 2013 during the Obama administration. Through the circus; “Idiocracy” in real time,  which was the 2016 election cycle, I reiterated the critical point in history the United States and the world was facing. This article intrigued me because Trump ran on a policy of “non-intervention” in geopolitics.  It was funny because of course he immediately reversed that, just like Obama before him. When the Western led global financial cartel calls the shots, American presidents wielding the big club toe the line, no matter who they are.

But… what if the United States did just up and say, “Forget this,” and take all their toys and go home, parking those eleven nuclear powered aircraft carriers and accompanying destroyers, cruisers, and frigates in San Diego and Norfolk? What if, there was a major Black Swan event and a sovereign God pulled America’s plug (which He could)?

Why, the results, acknowledging the authors temperate outlook, might be something out of… the book Revelation…

Looking At What The Other Side Sees.

Russian President Vladimir Putin meets with the heads of Russian and foreign news agencies in St. Petersburg on Thursday, June 1
Russian President Vladimir Putin meets with the heads of Russian and foreign news agencies in St. Petersburg on Thursday, June 1

As earlier followers of this blog these past few years have seen, the foundation of pretty much every ongoing conflict in the world right now are founded in the global currency wars and energy. Global economics. A resurgent Russia and China, – the BRIC’s nations – have in the wake of the 2008 economic meltdown started to push back, quite effectively, against the global financial order based on the petrodollar, and horribly managed by the reckless and decadent West.

Subsequently, we can see the narrative the Western media and government has furiously promoted of the “threats” these competitors are to the US and Western world. Follow the money, as the saying goes.

I have found this quite intriguing, and have followed the responses of these governments – who refuse to submit to the Western financial order, fascinating. Russia in particular. Putin’s management of his country in the face of Western sanctions has been impressive. I was certain the energy war Saudi Arabia initiated against them and Iran would severely hamper these countries abilities more over the last few years. They have not (whole other subject).

I make no judgements on who is “right or wrong” in the global arena these days. Unfortunately, America is just as wicked as the rest of this world in rebellion against her Creator. But the final world order (Antichrist) before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ in judgment on this world and the enemies of the Jewish nation, Israel, will be Western based.

Nevertheless, it is intriguing to observe the East contend with the realities of the trends toward this today. These daily scenarios will affect everybody.
