With regard to being on Uncle Sam's Short List, that is an excellent
article/commentary. I am also a multiple offender and am often
reminded of the following quote.
"You need only reflect that one of the ways to get yourself a reputation
as a dangerous citizen these days is to go around repeating the very
phrases which our founding fathers used in their struggle for
independence." - Charles A. Beard, 1935, American historian

The next 4 years are going to be very interesting!

In defense of Jock Sturges, an intelligent, kind man and talented photographer, I would like to say that I have met and worked with Jock as an assistant and he does not produce child pornography. He photographs families who are part of nudist colonies, mostly in Europe, where nudity is seen as a beautiful and natural state. He has the utmost respect for his models, who he considers friends, and would never photograph a model in an inappropriate way, especially a child.
I am shocked to see his beautiful books on your list of child pornography books. Obviously you do not know this man and have never tried to learn anything about the work which he does. I do not support child pornography in any way and can decipher the difference between a beautiful portrait of a nude child and child pornography!
[Ed. Note: How very "open-minded" and "tolerant" of you.
The spiritual malaise and moral breakdown of the European continent is a subject of much commentary in Conservative circles in American academia and intellectual circles these days, especially as they are struggling against the onslaught of fundamentalist Islam which is feeding off this cultural and moral rot on that continent.
That being said, the same declining standards of decency in American culture; the Post-modernist moral relativity evident in your comments, are even now being resisted in the cultural arenas of the American nation today, lest we slide as well into the same cultural malaise of the Europeans.
I am familiar with Jock Sturges "work." I am also familiar with the the child crimes units of the American law enforcement community. What you term "a beautiful portrait of a nude child" mirrors closely the material that has been found in the possession of more than one child predator and a fine line the exploitation of children who are too young to ascertain themselves what is right and wrong at the hands of warped adults with a camera.]

Okay Mike I have looked at your page and.....very impressive.
Alot to read it's a novel unto itself. Nice pics pretty good format. But
if you want a critique, in my experience surfing the net, the pages that
stop me and make me interested the most are the ones that say what they have
to say in the least words. Summerize the opening page (home page), then if
the person or persons are interested have an address that takes them to the
more detailed information you have on the front page now. Sort of like having
a grabber that makes the reader want to see more if they are interested.
Otherwise congratulations!!!! You are now an internet
advertiser.....have you sold many copies yet???
Hope all is well. I hope your book does well and congratulations
again. Say hello to everyone from all of us on this end.
Jon
So what do you expect? He's my other Brother! Major revisions to
Salem's Homepage since this letter! He's another college boy, a
Teacher. Thanks for writing, Bro'!

else I have met and is a valuable mentor, helping perfect in my writing those
things which Salem the Soldier and the Special Forces are all about. He continues
to wield an incredible amount of influence within my sphere of operations.

Welcome to the CAPstone WebRing! I've just spent a wonderful
half-hour browsing your site, and thought it deserved OHzone's Authors/Publishers
award, so.... here it is. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!...."
Richest blessings, my friend!

Well, thanks, Doris! My very first official website award! All
right! All due credit to the Lord for this gift of writing and artistic ability,
of course. But still, what a wonderful thing!

Thanks, Mr. Baxter! Such a simple and straightforward letter from
a man of your caliber and military service is a wonderful and honorable thing.
I will continue to try and keep the sacrifices that your generation made
at the fore-front of the minds of the people of my generation, the recipients
of the freedom that our elders paid such a dear price for (and sometimes
take advantage of). Semper Fidelis, Marine. Never surrender.

You have a charming site, light on hate, and heavy on cornball
sentiment. . . .
. . . Oh well, I still like your style, and if you can stand
to share the country with me, I'll tolerate you.
Michael Swofford
Haa, haa! Come on, Mike! That "cornball sentiment" by and large
made this nation what it is today! But hey! Someone whose political philosophy
is so different from my own (letter edited for space) coming on board here
and saying they "like my style" is a wonderful thing! Thanks for writing!

Brother:
I would like to commend you on your site. I am in complete
agreement with you on the tactics of the Army of God. Even though over 32
million unborn babies have been murdered, we are not given the authority
by God to strike back or to kill one abortionist. If we do, how do we claim
we hold to the sanctity of God. Our warfare is a spiritual one. Eph 6:10-17,
2 Cor. 10:3-5

May our Lord Jesus bless you in your ministry.
Bill Carrigan
Thanks, Bill. That was a tough issue to deal with and I appreciate
your taking the time and initiative to write and tell me how you feel. There's
not too many people willing these days to stand up within the Church and
take such a position. God bless you for that!
